Itinerary

Day1

Meet your guides in Chestnut Hollow Campground/Horse Sites in Grayson Highlands State Park. You will receive all your gear (backpack, sleeping bag, tent, etc.) and we will do group briefing on the trip and leave no trace practices.

Day 2

We will move cars to the overnight backpacking lot first thing in the morning. We will begin the hike with Big and Little Pinnacle. The hike will continue to the Crest Trail below Mount Rogers where we will disperse camp for the night.

Day 3

In the morning we will summit Mount Rogers and descend to Scales Campground where we will camp for the night.

Day 4

To conclude the trip, we will have a short three-mile hike back to the overnight backpacker’s lot where the personal vehicles are parked.
